Elmo Motion Control strengthens factory automation activities of Bosch Rexroth

Takeover completed after approval by antitrust authorities

Beginning of September, Bosch Rexroth announced to acquire the motion control specialist Elmo Motion Control Ltd, headquartered in Petach-Tikva, Israel. Following approval by the antitrust authorities, the acquisition was completed on November 30. The Elmo portfolio strengthens Bosch Rexroth’s factory automation activities.

There is continuously growing demand for smart automation and Industry 4.0 solutions that increase productivity in factories and conserve resources. “Factory automation is a clear focus topic at Bosch Rexroth. We are strengthening our portfolio both organically through the development of innovative products such as ctrlX AUTOMATION and through appropriate acquisitions such as Elmo,” says Thomas Fechner, Head of the Bosch Rexroth Automation and Electrification Solutions Business Unit.

Elmo technologies enable decentralized drives solutions for the areas of semiconductors, electronics manufacturing, the electrical industry, robotics, medical technology, driverless transport systems (AGV), automatic warehousing, and the packaging and food industries. For that, Elmo develops and produces electrical high-end servo drives and motion controls for industrial automation. They complement the Bosch Rexroth product portfolio around the ctrlX AUTOMATION platform.

Elmo Motion Control customers will continue to be served by the Elmo sales organization. In addition, Elmo Motion Control will gain extended market access through the global sales organization of Bosch Rexroth.
