Meet Antonio - he has commercial responsibility for Bosch Rexroth Sales Unit Europe North

Meet Antonio
our Business Controller & Analyst

My name is Antonio Vitali, and I am a 29-year old Italian who has been residing in Denmark for the past few years. I have an academic background in Economics and Management.

  • How did your journey lead you to your current position in the company?

My journey to sales controlling has been a combination of my interest in corporate finance and career ambitions. I started out as a business analyst in smaller companies than Rexroth, that helped me gain foundational skills in data analysis and controlling. Over time, I realized that my skills and interests were moving towards ensuring that sales activities are aligned with the company´s overall business goals and financial targets. Therefore, I took the opportunity to join Bosch Rexroth in a dynamic and ambitious environment such as the Sales Unit Europe North.

  • Can you describe your role and responsibilities within the company? What do you enjoy most about your job?

In my role as business controller and analyst, I am performing sales controlling, profitability analysis, sales funnel analysis, and coordinating projects with finance, sales and business digitalization departments. I focus on ensuring high quality forecasts and reporting, timely and accurate processes completion, and analytical tools development. To quote someone more influential than me: "Plans are worthless, but planning is everything" (Dwight Eisenhower).

What I enjoy most about my job is the high variety of tasks and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team. I really enjoy the challenge of contributing to innovative projects. Amoung others, one of the most rewarding outcomes is to see how the direct impact of my work can contribute to the decision-making process and the overall improvement and success of the company.

The most challenging and intriguing part of my job is to support the management with insights, opinions, and proposals to improve inefficiencies to reach the company´s goal, also through the development of analytic tools and meaningful reports.

  • Outside of work, what are some of your passions or hobbies? How do you balance your personal interests with your professional life?

Outside of work, I am quite passionate about reading everything, from novels to mycology essays. Collecting mushrooms is also my guilty passion - I am a fungi/fun guy. I love running and playing the guitar. I personally find it essential to carve out time for these activities because they help me recharge and maintain a healthy balance. I also try to prioritize and schedule time for hanging out with my partner and friends. I consider myself as a social person both outside and at work.

  • What do you value most about the company? How does the team collaborate to achieve common goals?

In fact, I believe that a rewarding yet busy and challenging working life function properly when the human relationships in the workplace stay positive. What I value most about my job is the good relationship that I have with the colleagues. As for how the team collaborates, there is a strong focus on communication and teamwork.

In such a global organization such as Bosch Rexroth, we regularly collaborate intra-team and across departments, where I am highly impressed by the dedication and competence of my colleagues, even during moments of disagreements. But I believe this is a part of what makes an organization healthy and always competitive.

And the relationship with my colleagues is not only hard work: we regularly organize social events such as regional-inspired dinners thanks to the cultural heterogeneity of our team (most of the times we end up eating Italian cuisine), team runs and sport competitions.

As an example, last year I had the pleasure of participating in the 10km Royal Run in Copenhagen together with a colleague.- and I will never say who arrived behind amongst us two ...
