Practical Approach of Open Software Controllers in Advanced Manufacturing
Course Introduction
This course covers basic concepts for advanced automation systems based on open software connection and open source solutions. It shows how an Industrial Computer (IPC) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based solution can come together and how important the interaction of hardware, operating system and software is. There is an eye on Linux based operating system with self-sufficient running applications. Organisation of the Data in a layer structure on the controller and further opportunities to extend functions with app based and web based applications. Allow the participants to understand some typical terminologies and connectivity used in IoT/I4.0.
