Multi-Camera System
The Bosch sight assist monitors the areas in front of, behind and to the sides of the forklift, providing a 360-degree surround view. By glancing at the display, the driver can see exactly how much space is left to maneuver. In addition, the driving lane of the forklift can be shown in the display image depending on the steering angle. The Bosch sight assist comes with a user-friendly application concept that makes it possible for you to adapt the system to different vehicle variants with a software tool. In order to meet the demand for equipping existing machines, Bosch will also offer the multi-camera system as a retrofit solution starting in 2023.
Automated valet parking – the world’s first driverless parking service
Bosch has developed automated valet parking, the world’s first highly automated driverless (SAE Level 4) parking function to be given official approval for commercial use in Germany. All the driver needs to do is stop the vehicle in the designated drop-off area and get out. The smart Bosch infrastructure installed in the parking garage then takes over and interacts with the technology in the vehicle to drive it to the vacant space and park it. APCOA’s P6 parking garage at Stuttgart Airport is the first in the world to enable commercial use of the driverless parking system.
The principle of automated valet parking also offers advantages in other areas – for instance in the automotive industry: Automated vehicle maneuvering - plant significantly optimizes the production workflows.
