OverviewHow do you integrate different handling tasks faster and more flexibly into your line? Ideally, this can be done efficiently and simply. Here’s how.
Subsystems for handling tasks such as pick and place, palletizing or loading are fixed components of production. Does this apply to your company, too? And do you ever get dizzy given the masses of time needed for dimensioning, selection, configuration, commissioning and programming? We’ve got good news for you: With our Smart Function Kit for Handling, you can now put together a perfectly coordinated plug-and-produce Cartesian system in just a few minutes, which you can order with just one material number and put into operation immediately.
As a result, you not only benefit from a faster ROI, but also achieve higher basic precision and accuracy. From now on, take your linear robot out of the box and put it to use in your production hall right away.
Subsystem for a wide range of applications: The Smart Function Kit for Handling combines mechanics, electrics and software into a smart plug-and-produce solution.
With Smart MechatroniX, the comprehensive mechatronic ecosystem for typical factory automation tasks, Bosch Rexroth makes life easier for design engineers, production planners and mechatronics engineers. This modular system can be used to assemble digitally pre-designed subsystems from coordinated components in proven Bosch Rexroth quality. This revolutionary ecosystem includes the Smart Function Kits for Handling – mechatronic subsystems for handling tasks that are delivered prepared and pre-configured so that you can put them into operation in just a few steps. No classic programming work needed.
Rapid dimensioning: Using the LinSelect software tool, design engineers define handling processes with visual guidance in just a few steps.
To do this, first enter your desired process data. Based on this data, a suggestion offering one of currently five basic types of Cartesian 2D and 3D multi-axis systems in 36 sizes appears. You are guided through the process logically and efficiently, step by step. After the dimensioning in LinSelect, you continue seamlessly to the online configurator, and if you like, directly to the Bosch Rexroth eShop shopping cart. CAD data and documentation are available for download in advance.
When the smart subsystem reaches your factory floor, it is already pre-assembled and the operating software is supplied pre-installed. Your advantage: The intuitive design of the software shortens the commissioning time immensely. A wizard guides you through commissioning and cuts the process down to a few minutes. The drive controllers parameterize themselves automatically, the axes are referenced by means of visual feedback. And the process definition? This is also done quickly and intuitively on a graphical basis. Here, you simply arrange prepared function modules using drag & drop and provide them with the necessary application parameters – without any programming knowledge! All that is missing now is the connection to the higher-level controller, which can now also be achieved more quickly and cost-effectively with the help of software modules via OPC UA.
