The ROKIT Locator by Bosch Rexroth is an intelligent laser localization software for intralogistics. The real-time location system (RTLS) reliably maps your environment and determines the position of your fleet, including a wide range of vehicle types like manual and automated forklifts as well as automated guided vehicles (AGV), service and mobile robots (AMR) in a variety of changing environments indoor and outdoor. This is made possible by a high-performance algorithm. It automatically detects the natural environment while driving using a (retrofitted) laser sensor on the forklift and creates a digital map in real-time, which is steadily and automatically being updated. With the ROKIT Locator, Bosch Rexroth thus provides a key technology and enables position-based services such as automatic scanning processes and warehouse navigation for logistics operations with industrial trucks with maximum flexibility and efficiency.

Flexibility for all situations

Optimize the use of your entire forklift fleet and benefit from the easy integration of the ROKIT Locator into a wide range of vehicle types such as forklifts, AGVs or AMRs as well as into numerous industries and application areas. Due to the modular approach, the localization software for real-time forklift tracking is hardware-independent and does not require any structural measures to the warehouse infrastructure such as the installation of reflectors, strips, or markers.

Make efficient use of your forklift fleet

In a warehouse with manual and automated forklifts, location tracking is the basis for more transparency in the warehouse as well as for optimum material handling and storage processes. An indoor and outdoor real-time location system (RTLS) of forklifts and goods is the most important prerequisite for position tracking of a forklift and/or AGV fleet management system (mixed fleet). It enables absolute traceability of the forklift and moved goods such as pallets, wire pallet cages or paper rolls (track & trace) as well as automated order picking and automatic inventories, avoids errors during storage and retrieval, and reduces search efforts. In addition, real-time tracking of forklifts offers potential for cost savings and increased productivity through automated scanning processes and a reduction in empty runs.

Quick and easy setup

Thanks to fast and easy setup and reliable operation of the real-time location tracking and mapping software, you do not have to worry about determining the position of your manual forklifts. Even after a vehicle restart, due to a shift change, for instance, the ROKIT Locator automatically finds the current position in no time. Additionally, the flexible adaptions to changing environments, such as in block and high-bay warehouses, enable automatic map updates for your entire forklift fleet.

  1. Equip or retrofit a forklift with a laser scanner of your choice.
  2. Set up the ROKIT Locator on each forklift.
  3. Connect real-time localization to your forklift guidance system (FGS), warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) or warehouse execution system (WES).
  4. Create a map of the surroundings once – all position data are then available to the WMS in real time.

Wheel odometry fusion

For even more robust real-time localization in special situations such as open spaces, additional sensor sources can optionally be integrated. So if required, the ROKIT Locator can merge the information from the captured laser data with the estimated vehicle movement from the wheel rotations.

Map expansion

Our real-time location system allows users to extend existing ROKIT Locator maps and replace map zones.

Dual Laser

Depending on the application and need, the ROKIT Locator can support up to two lasers. This enhances the robustness of your AGV.
