Graduate Specialist Program

During the Graduate Specialist Programs, you will spend time in relevant specialist departments both in Germany and abroad over a period of 24 months. You will decide on your individual placements together with your mentor. The decision will be based on your background, experience, as well as current projects and topics. Under the guidance of established colleagues, you will gather valuable experience and assume responsibility in various placements at a range of different locations. You will grow in your new tasks, meet people from diverse backgrounds, establish new contacts, and enjoy camaraderie and appreciation. Controlling
Production
- Have you completed your studies in mechanical/industrial/electrical engineering or attained a similar degree? Are you interested in the manufacture of technically sophisticated materials and products in mass and individual production?
- Your tasks will include: designing production sequences, analyzing and optimizing existing production methods and processes, and participating in quality management. Your program placements will encompass a wide range of production areas, and may also be spent abroad. You will also get to know important interfaces by spending time in associated departments (e.g. logistics, purchasing).
Research and development
- Your degree or doctorate in mechanical/electrical engineering or a similar field of study is the basis for your entry, and you would like to help us to shape the future in product development or customer applications.
- The program will include placements in different development departments, potentially even abroad. You will get to know the various challenges we face in the development environment: from basic and product development to software and hardware creation, as well as design, simulation, and application. You will also get to know important interfaces to internal and external customers by spending time in associated departments (e.g. production, technical sales, purchasing).
Logistics
- Was logistics a focal point of your degree in business administration, economics, or industrial engineering? Then we can give you the opportunity to work in different logistics departments, potentially even abroad. Regardless of whether you operate on a plant or division level, or whether you are employed at the Bosch Rexroth headquarters, you are guaranteed to acquire broad and in-depth specialist knowledge. You will also get to know important interfaces by spending time in associated departments (e.g. production, controlling).
- Among other things, the program will teach you the fundamentals of planning and optimizing the flow of goods, materials, and information as well as the main aspects of warehouse and inventory optimization. You will analyze the complete supply chain and work closely with customers and service providers.
HR
- Have you completed a degree in business administration, economics, industrial engineering, psychology, or law with a particular focus on human resources? As part of the program, we will familiarize you with the strategic and operational aspects of our human resources. To this end, you will spend time in different HR departments, including potential placements abroad. In your work, you will tackle both HR-related and, for example, legal matters. You will also get to know important interfaces by spending time in associated departments (e.g. controlling, marketing, logistics).
- You will be involved in the day-to-day business of personnel support, assist with recruitment, devise concepts for university marketing, and participate in workshops in the field of management and organizational development. You will also play an active part in shaping our HR work through your involvement in projects.
Technical purchasing
- Have you completed your studies of industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering? Then we can give you the opportunity to learn about the challenging environment of technical sales in different departments, potentially even abroad. You will also get to know important interface functions by spending time in associated departments (e.g. development, logistics, production).
- During the program, you will encounter such diverse subjects as project and material segment purchasing, procurement controlling, vendor management, as well as quality management in purchasing. In doing so, you will act as a valuable cooperation partner to your colleagues in development and sales.
Technical sales
- Your degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or a similar field of study forms the basis of your entry. The program will include placements in different areas of technical sales, potentially even abroad. As a sales engineer, your focus will be on our customers and on identifying both individual and innovative solutions. You will also get to know important interfaces by spending time in associated departments (e.g. development, product management).
- You will devise individual customer solutions and applications, prove yourself in key account management, or contribute to the successful completion of major projects. The program will also give you the opportunity to assume responsibility in associated service activities.
Information Technology
- Have you graduated in business informatics, computer science, information technology, industrial engineering or a scientific subject with an IT focus?
- During the program, you will pass through various stations in the IT sector or related areas. In doing so, you will deal with topics such as the analysis of IT technologies and their further development in the context of an adaptation of our portfolio.

Your qualities
You have completed, or will shortly complete, a technical, scientific, or legal diploma / master’s degree or a corresponding doctorate with above-average results. You should already have completed challenging internships in your chosen field for the program and must have a good command of the English language.
