Junior Managers Program
The Junior Managers Program is a trainee program that prepares you for a future management role.
As a participant in the Junior Managers Program, you will complete four to six placements over a period of up to 24 months, with one of these placements spent abroad. On each of these placements, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks in your chosen department or an associated area, and you will actively contribute to day-to-day operations and participate in projects.
Throughout the entire program, you will receive professional and personal support from a mentor representing the upper management level. You will attend seminars and training courses on the subject of associate management, allowing you to further your development and set the focal points of your future career. You will acquire technical competence in your own functional area along with methodological knowledge, skills, and expertise in the field of associate management. The Junior Managers Program will also allow you establish a company-wide network to facilitate your ongoing development.

Controlling
Production
- Have you completed your studies in mechanical/industrial/electrical engineering or attained a similar degree? Are you interested in the manufacture of technically sophisticated materials and products in mass and individual production? Then you could soon be assuming managerial responsibility in the international Bosch production network in order to resolve problems, quality issues, and ensure smooth, trouble-free workflows.
- Your qualifications and strengths will decide whether the program takes you into production planning, process development, or quality assurance. Whatever your path, you will get to know all our production processes and corresponding interfaces, such as product development or technical purchasing. Your work will include such things as: production planning and execution, global production coordination, quality assurance, and lean production.
Research and development
- Your degree or doctorate in mechanical/electrical engineering or a similar field of study forms the basis of your entry – provided that you are a passionate and dedicated developer who wants to work with us to shape the future of product development or customer applications.
- Regardless of whether you are driven by technical innovations in the field of hydraulics, electric drives and controls, gear, linear, or assembly technology: You will get to know all the main development areas and their interfaces, such as production and technical sales. Your work will include such things as: requirements engineering, product and system development, material and process development, design and simulation, as well as hardware and software development.
Logistics
- Did you have a keen interest in logistics during your studies of business administration, economics, or industrial engineering? As a future logistics manager, you will learn the “recipes for success” in supply chain management, in production logistics, and in the development of plant logistics concepts, and you will help to optimize logistical concepts.
- Over the course of the program, we will teach you the business basics of a production plant in logistics, plant controlling, and potentially also in purchasing. You will then switch to division and HQ level and spend a period of time abroad. Your work will include such things as: value-oriented business management, supply chain management, economic planning, and production logistics.
HR
- Have you completed a degree in business administration, economics, industrial engineering, or psychology? As a future manager in human resources, you are fascinated by such things as recruitment and employee development.
- You will start by working in the HR department of a production plant, where you will assist with day-to-day operations. You will then switch to a central HR area to support personnel marketing efforts or international staff relocation. Your HR skills will then be further enhanced in one of our regional subsidiaries abroad as well as in various interface functions. Your work will include such things as: staff acquisition, personnel and university marketing, associate support, and international staff exchange.
Technical purchasing
- Your degree in industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering serves as optimum preparation for your management role in technical purchasing. You should also be an excellent negotiator and enjoy developing lasting supplier relationships while navigating the tricky road between cost minimization and quality improvement.
- As a program participant, you will spend time in different purchasing areas, such as technical purchasing of selected materials, equipment, and services. You will prove your worth on a foreign placement and help to change perspectives, for example, with your work in sales. Your work in the program will include such things as: supplier relationship management, e-procurement, local sourcing, purchase quality, and negotiation strategies.
Technical sales
- Are you passionate about motion technology for mobile applications? Or perhaps you would like to put your technical expertise to the test in the implementation of major projects for industrial applications? If your goal is to guide sales teams to success based on your technical studies and sound application expertise, then you have all the qualities required by a sales manager of the future.
- As a leader in technical sales, you will play a central role in delivering sales-oriented advice to customers and will work with your team to develop individual solutions for this purpose – solutions that will win customers and result in new contracts. We will prepare you specifically for this role with placements in product management, in a foreign sales subsidiary, in key account management, or in development. In this way, we will ensure that you can drive our business forward. Your work will include such things as: customer applications, customer project management, acquisition and bidding processes, and sales controlling.

Your qualities
You have completed, or will shortly complete, a technical, scientific, or economics diploma / master’s degree or a corresponding doctorate with above-average results. You should already have completed challenging internships in your chosen field and have spent at least six months abroad. You must also have excellent command of at least one foreign language, possess an entrepreneurial mindset, and demonstrate leadership potential. If you can couple this with a great deal of enthusiasm, creativity, and responsibility, and you enjoy getting to grips with new subject matter, then you should not hesitate to apply.
