Had enough of dull theory? Time for some practical experience! Whether you come to us as a student of engineering, natural sciences, economics, or computer science/IT: At each of our locations, you will have the opportunity to find out about our working world and gain valuable experience.

You will shadow experienced colleagues and take responsibility for your own tasks or small projects. This will enable you to experience first-hand how challenging it is to develop and produce technological excellence, or to work for an international market leader in the commercial and organizational area.

Practical insights

• We offer students in the fields of (industrial) engineering and natural sciences a wide range of activities, for example, in (advance) development, production, technical sales, purchasing, and logistics.

• Students in the field of economics will gain interesting insights into the areas of controlling, marketing, HR, and logistics, for example.
• Students in the field of computer science and IT will have a wide range of opportunities in different areas of activity, for example, in (advance) development (in particular software and hardware development) or in projects such as Industry 4.0, connectivity, communication, simulation, industrial robotics, and augmented reality.

During your two- to six-month internship, we will actively involve you in our projects, our day-to-day business, and our teams. You will be assigned a mentor and will learn how a large corporation works. You will be given the opportunity to handle tasks independently and develop solution proposals that you will then implement.

You will also have the opportunity to quickly establish a network with other interns. We organize get-togethers and factory tours with other interns to help you to get to know each other.

Tailored to your course content

If you are looking for a basic practical training or pre-study program, we may just have the solution: You will have the opportunity to get a taste of one of our technical departments for a short period or, alternatively, we will be happy to plan a number of different departments for you to visit according to your course requirements. You will receive excellent teaching and supervision during this intensive learning phase.

Your qualities

If you are planning to study or are already studying for a technical or commercial degree, have good grades, and would like to take an active role in our company, we would be delighted to hear from you. Make sure that you include a personal covering letter, a complete CV, your university entrance qualification (Abitur or equivalent), and your university’s guidelines, and – if available – proof of relevant specialist internships, student work, or additional qualifications. Interesting opportunities – in virtually all corners of the world

The main focal points of a placement abroad, which generally lasts from four to six months, can include both exciting tasks in the individual departments as well as part of a project. This may be a technical challenge, such as helping to optimize a hydraulic motor, or assisting with a factory relocation. Economics students have also taken up placements abroad, for example, to assist with the introduction of new controlling standards in a foreign plant.
