Rollercoaster Launchers

For the medium capacity roller coasters, electro-magnetic launchers are used to launch roller coaster trains. Such a launch draws high peak powers up to 2 MW. For larger capacity
roller coaster, with larger and heavier trains, an electro-magnetic launcher would draw too much power.
For these high apacity coaster, Bosch Rexroth developed a hydraulic launch system which is capable of accumulating required power in between the launches. This allows for heavy (high capacity) train launches within the limitations of the power net.
