Fuel savings of up to 20 percent: Diesel Hydraulic Control

Content

With its Diesel Hydraulic Control (DHC), Bosch Rexroth has developed a control strategy that combines its own expertise in hydraulic controls with BOSCH's know-how in engine management while retaining the familiar dynamic responsiveness of the travel and working hydraulics, even in TIER 4 diesel engines.

DHC conveys anticipated load requirements of the travel and working hydraulics to the diesel engine in advance. This is accomplished via Bosch control units for engine management and Rexroth control units for the drive and working hydraulics, which are designed to work together. Based on the data provided by the DHC, the diesel engine always delivers the exact amount of power needed by the mobile machine at the time. As a result, diesel consumption drops by up to 20 percent.
