Remanufacturing: a second life for your electric drives? YOU DECIDE.
At Bosch Rexroth, we set ourselves sustainability goals, as well as supporting our customers in reaching theirs. To help us achieve these goals, we’re embracing circular economy strategies that enable an efficient use of resources. This means we take back products at the end of their service life and reuse them. Not only that, but we’re extending the life of older machines with our repair, retrofitting and remanufacturing services – helping our customers take another step closer to their own sustainability goals.
Remanufacturing gives products a second life. We take back used electric drives and bring it to our professional upgrading and recycling process.
What are the benefits of remanufacturing?
- By remanufacturing, we aim to extend the service life of products and saving resources.
- Remanufacturing can also increase the availability of products.
- Remanufacturing offers the same product quality as a new product, but at a lower price.

Remanufacturing is particularly important – it can save more than 50% of CO₂ footprint compared to a new product. And it significantly lowers prices.

What is Bosch Rexroth’s Remanufactured Products program?
This program is designed to make sustainability an integral part of the product lifecycle. We take back the majority of electric drives from Bosch Rexroth and Indramat, and then give them an overhaul, so they can be used again. Each remanufactured product comes with a 24-month warranty. Material and waste out of the Remanufacturing processes will be recycled if possible. Our facilities and workshops have standards to describe the process of waste handling.
You can use our Remanufactured Products program to either:
- Rebuy – return your used or defective Bosch Rexroth and Indramat electric drives in exchange for a credit note. It doesn’t matter whether the returned product is outdated, dirty, defective or used – as long as it’s a complete product, we’ll accept it.
- Reuse – do you need a spare product and want to save valuable resources and money? Then you can choose between newly produced components and a remanufactured product – products that have received a second life through the Remanufactured Products program. All components are carefully checked, and all defective and worn parts are replaced. Be assured that the remanufactured product offers a quality standard equivalent to that of a new product.
